Hosting with Cloudflare

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical request information, including your IP address and information about your browser and the requested page, to deliver the website and protect its services. Cloudflare describes its handling of website visitors’ data in the End Users section of its privacy policy.

Data processed for these purposes can include the requested URL, request date and time, IP address, browser and operating-system information, referrer information, and security-related request data. The purposes are to transmit requested pages, maintain availability, diagnose faults, and prevent abuse. The legal basis for the operator’s necessary delivery and security processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interests are providing a reliable public directory and protecting it against misuse.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled for this website. Cloudflare can add its JavaScript measurement script to deployed pages. Where collection is enabled for a visitor’s region, the script sends usage and performance measurements to Cloudflare to help the operator understand page views and improve the website’s performance. Measurements can include the page visited, referring website, browser and device category, country, and page-loading performance.

According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage, or fingerprint visitors for analytics. This does not mean that loading the script or sending measurements involves no network requests. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Search, filters, and database

Search, filtering, and sorting run in your browser. The website’s code does not send your search terms or filter selections to the database operator. Browsing the directory does not connect your browser to the external database; the website serves previously generated public pages and cinema data.

Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted with the website and delivered by Cloudflare. Loading them does not connect your browser to Google Fonts or Google’s font servers. These requests are covered by the hosting information above.

Interactive map

When you open the Map page, your browser downloads map images from OpenStreetMap tile servers. Requests include your IP address and the map tiles needed for the area you are viewing. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

The map displays cinema coordinates; the website does not request your device’s location.

Report

The “Report missing/wrong information” link opens an external Airtable form. Airtable is not embedded in this website; the form loads when you follow its link. Information you submit is available to the database operator to review your report and improve the directory. Provide only the information needed for your report and avoid including sensitive personal information. Airtable’s processing is described in its privacy policy.

Report data may include the report text, supporting links, and any name or contact details you choose to provide. The purposes are to investigate corrections, communicate about a report where needed, and maintain accurate cinema information. If a particular optional use relies on consent, that use and its purpose must be identified separately when consent is requested.

Recipients

Reports are accessible to the operator and the Airtable service used to receive them. Cloudflare receives requests for website delivery, including local fonts and libraries, and Web Analytics measurements as described above. The OpenStreetMap Foundation receives map tile requests. Providers may use subprocessors in accordance with their applicable agreements. Links to provider privacy policies supplement this notice; they do not replace the operator’s own information obligations.

Retention

Cloudflare currently makes the previous six months of Web Analytics reports accessible to the operator. Its documentation describes keeping unsampled beacon data for seven days before reducing the dataset for longer-term reporting. These reporting details do not establish a universal deletion period for all Cloudflare hosting or security data. See the Cloudflare Web Analytics FAQ.

Cookies and browser storage

The website’s own code does not set cookies or use local storage for advertising or visitor tracking. Cloudflare adds the Web Analytics script described above to the hosted site; according to Cloudflare, that service does not use cookies or local storage for its measurements. Hosting and external services may process technical information under their own policies. Your browser may cache public pages, fonts, scripts, and map images.

Whether you must provide data

You are not required by law or contract to submit a report or provide contact details. Without a report, the operator cannot investigate the information you intended to submit; without contact details, the operator may be unable to respond or ask follow-up questions. Technical connection data, including an IP address, is needed to deliver the requested website and external resources.

External links and changes

Links to cinemas, manufacturers, sources, and the reporting form lead to third-party websites. Their privacy practices apply when you visit them. If the purposes for which the operator processes personal data change, affected individuals will be informed before the further processing where required by Article 13(3) GDPR.
